In order to capitalize on ClearBridge's success within the Institutional market, and with an achievement of delivering long-term equity outperformance in domestic, international and global offerings, the Firm seeks to recruit an experienced institutional sales professional with a history of selling international and global equity investment products into Corporate, Public, Taft-Hartley, Sub Advisory, and/or Endowment / Foundation segments.
As a member of the Institutional Sales team, the primary responsibility of the Institutional Sales Manager is to provide sales, marketing and territory management for ClearBridge's investment strategies. This involves coordination of sales and marketing efforts, project management, and collaboration with other members of the organization in order to meet assigned sales goals and firm-wide product initiatives.
The successful candidate must have a quantifiable track record of success selling to and building relationships within the institutional marketplace. This individual will have a demonstrated track record and successful sales of global and international offerings through the establishment of client relationships with senior level buyers at the CFO, CIO, and Trustee decision-making levels. Finally, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, be committed to excellence, and have the personal presence and demeanor to represent ClearBridge with distinction.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: 5-10 years of experience marketing investment strategies to the institutional marketplace calling on corporate, public, and endowment pension funds.
Bachelor's degree; MBA or CFA is a plus.
Strong relationships with appropriate industry contacts.
Quantifiable track record of success selling and building relationships within the global and international institutional marketplace.
Must be able to operate in a team environment.
Proven ability to identify, cultivate, and raise assets from new business prospects over a long sales cycle.
Strong consultative, relationship based selling skills.
Familiarity with Sales Force CRM.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
FINRA Series 7 required.
