Analyze bank and broker fail reports to identify root cause and work through to problem resolution.
Deal with unmatched transactions in a swift manner to ensure timely settlement thus avoiding the costs of failed trades.
Assist various departments with resolving discrepancies relating to swift and fax messages sent to banks.
Provide ad hoc reports to custodian banks and clients where requested.
Communicate and escalate to relevant parties immediately on failed trade situations.
Qualifications: Competencies & Specifications
Three to Five years of operations and / or related experience
Advanced knowledge of many operations functions, and within the securities industry
Solid understanding of investment products and securities operations, particularly FI products such as Mortgages, Treasuries, Corporates, EMD, HY, liquidity, Muni's.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills and a good working knowledge of Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, and custody proprietary trading systems.
Academic Qualifications (minimum requirements):
Undergraduate degree in related field preferred. Work experience may off set degree.
