Conduct in-depth research and analysis of individuals, companies, industries, technologies, marketplaces, and competitors to uncover key, actionable information and insights; summarize into concise deliverables.
Produce and package industry, economic and other business intelligence work product to increase awareness of development opportunities.
Monitor and identify potential prospects, as well as trends in the industry verticals and customer segments of interest to the Firm.
Aid other BI team members that develop existing client cross-marketing opportunity reports.
Work with the team to develop targeted outreach plans for: key client executives and other senior external business personnel and priority business opportunities, primarily in the transactional (M&A) practice
Assist with referral monitoring and tracking within various practice groups.
Examine news/intelligence sources for business development and market visibility opportunities; circulate information to appropriate audiences and track progress.
Stay abreast of trends and current technologies in research and information services.
Qualifications & Requirements
Investment banking/finance experience is strongly preferred. A candidate must be responsive, adaptive and service-oriented, and possess strong organizational and technical skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. S/he should also be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, work well in a fast-paced environment, interact with people at various levels and work in teams toward a shared goal.
- Minimum of 3 years high-level experience in business intelligence research and development
- Familiarity and experience with analyzing large data sets
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- College degree
- Expertise utilizing research tools, including: Hoovers, BoardEx, Factiva, ProQuest, CapitalIQ, ThomsonOne, Pitchbook, Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, CRM and internal systems
