In the U.S., the Infrastructure, Utilities & Renewables team has been involved in a number of historic transactions in the last few years, such as the $400 million KentuckyWired fiber optic network, the $1.5 billion Goethals Bridge Replacement project in New York and New Jersey, the $2.1 billion Elisabeth River Tunnels project in Virginia, the $1.9 billion acquisition of Veolia's N.A. waste business by Highstar Capital, and the $2.1 billion Denver FasTracks Eagle P3 project in Colorado.
Macquarie Capital has also received numerous awards in the US infrastructure sector, including the No.1 Financial Adviser for Project Finance Deals (Americas) from Infrastructure Journal, Global Transport Deal of the Year by Infrastructure Journal and North American PPP Deal of the Year by Infrastructure Investor in 2014 for the $1.5bn Goethals Bridge Project and Best Project & Infrastructure Finance Sponsor from Global Finance Magazine for the Elizabeth River Crossings project.
Macquarie Capital is looking to add an Analyst (1-2 years relevant experience) to its market-leading Infrastructure, Utilities & Renewables team in Los Angeles. The role would include working on live high-profile infrastructure transactions as an advisor and principal investor across the United States.
The successful candidate will have experience with some or all of the following:
- Development and interpretation of models, including use of VBA macros
- Detailed analytical and numerical skills, including advanced skills in Excel
- Researching information for companies in the sector
- Excellent commercial judgment
- Strong presentation skills, including Word and PowerPoint
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Production of written reports
- Furthering business development opportunities
- Outstanding academic results in a relevant discipline
