The Fixed Income Group is seeking a bond trader who will be responsible for transacting corporate bonds for the American Funds and Capital Group International, Inc. Securities under the trader's responsibility will include investment grade corporate bonds. The trader will work with two other investment grade bond traders. Capital Fixed Income Investors has been managing fixed-income strategies since 1973 and has $272bn in assets under management. We have an experienced team of 25 traders in Los Angeles, London and Singapore.
Execute trades and identify trading strategies/investment opportunities in the investment grade corporate bond market
Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, with investment group colleagues and sell side counter-parties
Collaborate with Capital's investment professionals worldwide to discuss market trends and investment strategies
Liaise with Investment Operations and other fixed income business units to maintain order flow integrity, monitor risk and improve communication
Perform additional responsibilities and undertake special projects as assigned
5-10 years prior experience of Fixed Income Trading experience, with focus on investment grade
Self-starter and team player with excellent communication skills
Proficient with Excel and other analytical tools
Able to work calmly, flexibly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
Bachelors or Master's degree in business, economics or other quantitative major
