This role supports the Client Portfolio Management team in New York. The Client Portfolio Management team services both Institutional and Sub-Advisory clients and prospects globally.
The firm is looking for a candidate to join the team with the opportunity to progress into a more senior role over time.
The demand for delivering broader and more comprehensive information about investment themes, insights and portfolio positioning continues to grow. In order to help deliver on these, the CPM team now requires an Associate to assist in the development and production of such information, as well as to help in the creation of sales and client service support materials including those relating to portfolio performance and characteristics.
The position will report to the Head of the Client Portfolio Management team, and will work closely with portfolio management, sales and client service teams.
Help develop, edit and write up summary investment thesis and trading rationales as required for clients. Work with analysts and portfolio managers to prepare regular and ad-hoc investment themes notes, presentation materials, and marketing materials to support marketing and client servicing initiatives.
Help write commentary for statutory and other client reporting purposes, working with other CPM's and the marketing group.
Assist in the production of RFPs, MRFPs, prospectus updates, quarterly due diligence questionnaires and other requests for information from consultants, prospects and clients
Perform administrative and operational functions such as maintaining shared files (which include strategy sheets, presentations, theme notes, stock notes, FAQ, etc), for use in both internal and external meetings.
Review all external presentations and prep portfolio managers and CPMs for upcoming client meetings and prospect opportunities
Serve as the main point of contact for sales and client service in facilitating responses to client inquiries and other requests;
Manage information flow between investment team and client facing team through proactive internal communication
Assist in the allocation process for PM and CPM resources for sales and client service needs; maintain "CPM" calendar;
Compile monthly and ad hoc reports for senior management on sales activity and asset flows
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 - 7 years of client services experience in the financial services industry, ideally at an asset management firm or hedge fund.
Excellent financial writing skills, presentation skills and the ability to communicate sophisticated topics.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

Fluency in Performance Attribution, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.
