The firm is looking for an individual to join the risk oversight team. The analyst will be exposed to equity and fixed income products. The ideal candidate possesses a keen curiosity in capital markets, economics, and finance and enjoys aspects of applied research, including data work, analyzing data patterns, writing, and presenting findings.
The individual will have an opportunity to liaison with vendor and internal technology teams as well as interacting with client services, operations, risk managers, portfolio analysts, and portfolio managers.
The role also focuses on understanding how investment management processes interrelate with and transform data.
Ideal candidate is someone who has completed a bachelor's degree in a Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Mathematical degree.
Minimum 5 years of experience. Working knowledge of risk and attribution models and understanding the analytics that drive those models.
Minimum 3 years of experience on FactSet' s platform; within FactSet knowledge of the following is required
In depth understanding of FactSet' s Equity Portfolio Analysis & Universal Screening capabilities
Understanding the inputs for Transaction Based Returns and how to decompose performance for explanatory purposes and troubleshooting
Performance Attribution including 2 & 3 factor models with Local components
Exposure to derivative strategies and how they impact both performance and reporting, specifically currency forwards, futures, and CDS
Screening code writing in both Universal Screening and Portfolio Analysis for customized Groupings & Columns
Extensive workflow knowledge, how accounting system & security master data flow through the system to be utilized for customization
Experience mapping both security level & group level data with lookup tables for use in customized
Possess strong analytical skills. Enjoy working with numbers and seeing through the data and analyze it to find conclusions. Demonstrate problem-solving skills
Must be able to communicate and present their findings
Possess strong quantitative skills
Strong attention to details and must be well organized
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with SQL and database architecture is a plus
